  • Created, Directed and Facilitated “Sonic Tools:  Experimental Instrument Building and Creative Self-Expression”, a 5 day workshop for homeless and at-risk kids.  A presentation was given at the Seattle Asian Art Museum and met with a willing, enthusiastic and exuberant noise – the spontaneous expression of music by an audience.  Trombonist, Composer, Sound Gatherer and University of Washington Professor Emeritus Stuart Dempster served as project sponsor.
  • Radio Art Project Grant, 94.9 KUOW, Seattle, from King County Arts Commission,  October, 1996. An aural documentary of the making of a harp, recorded at Dusty Strings Harp and Dulcimer Company, “Birth Suite for Harp” features Anna Cousins giving a birth improvisation with her new harp.
